2014 was a great year for technology. With redesigns of old favorites and the release of some exciting new gadgets, mobile technology is becoming more refined and powerful than ever. At TAZ, some of our most-used new technology are old favorites with new designs and improvements. Take a look at some of our favorite developments of the past year.
iPad Air 2: Instead of redesigning the iPad, Apple took the existing iPad Air and improved upon it, making it 40% faster with its A8X chip and lightening up the model to be the thinnest, lightest iPad ever on the market. The 6.1mm-thin body makes it easy for everyday transport while providing the power and ease-of-use we’ve all come to expect from Apple.
GoPro Hero4: The GoPro has been a growing favorite among adventurous types who want a durable, high-quality camera to accompany their adventures. The GoPro Hero4 improves upon the existing camera with a rear viewfinder, improved audio, and increased resolution. Paired with accessories like helmets, harnesses, and even a mount for your dog, the newest GoPros offer active photographers the ability to get unexpected shots and unique results.
iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus: It’s no secret that we’re lovers of the iPhone, but at TAZ we’re particularly big fans of the new iPhone developments with bigger screens, lighter bodies, and faster processors. With the mobile photography trend on the rise, improved front and rear cameras are a huge win for anyone looking to Instagram their latest activities, and ever-evolving apps look fantastic on the larger, high resolution screens.
Wearable technology: We can’t decide which of the new wearable technology developments belong at the top of the list. With so many awesome developments, we’re in awe of the data available on our bodies and patterns. From the Jawbone UP3 Wristband to the Apple and Samsung watches, more and more technology is at our fingertips and on our wrists to keep track of our workouts, sleep, and movement habits For anyone looking to workout smarter instead of harder, these devices are a dream.
